First Feature: Konglish

One year ago today, I wrapped shooting on Konglish, my first feature film. Creating the film was a long journey — literally.

I travelled 10,000km from Toronto to Busan to make a film about an expat teacher in South Korea. He’s lazy at his job and lazy in life. His school fires him, his girlfriend dumps him, and so he has to make the decision of going back home or starting things over and doing things right.

His name, like mine, is Chris.

So one year after going to Korea to make a semi-autobiographical film, where does the production stand?

In the next few posts I'll be sharing some behind the scenes stories so you can learn more about the film, how we made it, and of course when and how you can see it!
