TTC Lines Part 15: Spadina

This is the first interchange station in this photo series. It connects the Bloor-Danforth line to the Yonge-University line.

Something that I've never noticed in Spadina Station is this funky red and white section.

I always transferred though Spadina when I was coming in from Mississauga, until one day when my friend pointed out that I could transfer at St. George without having to go through the infamous walkway. It's a no-brainer for anyone living in the city.

The walkway makes Spadina feel like two separate stations: line 1 with it's fancy new streetcars and subways, and line 2 with the same old subway cars.

On the other side of Spadina you'll find streetcar connections, which enter underground into the station. The new streetcars feel so much taller indoors.

The next station is St. George.
