TTC Lines Part 4: Old Mill
Old Mill has been my favourite station to shoot so far. During the daytime, half of the station is bathed in natural light just before exiting out to the bridge that crosses the Humber river.
Even if you don't stop to get off at Old Mill, it's an unmistakable station; if not for the birds on the windows, then at least for the brief moments of cell signal.
We were lucky to visit the station when we did. It was the first day of snow back in November, so we could watch the trains coming and going through the light snowfall.
This is about as calm and tranquil as a subway station can be.
If you venture to the back of the station, you'll find this snazzy new sign made of a collage of images that recall the history of the area.
The next station is Jane.
